Timperley Hockey is one of the four sporting sections of Timperley Sports Club and a thriving TSC is key for all four sports. In a nutshell the four sports deliver the sport and put the boots in the ground and the Club (TSC) runs the facilities and plans for the future (and thats why subs go to TSC) be it pitches, the building, heating, drainage or other improvements to the site. Hockey and TSC are mutually dependant and supportive so its vital that hockey play an active role in the running of the club. In the TSC survey earlier in the year communications and engagement were identified as an area for improvement and the Board's setting up a new group to focus on this important areas. To kick us off we've produced a new look newsletter - download a copy. We will producing monthly editions as a starting point, we know engagement is more than newsletters and and working on improvement over the next 12 months.

On behalf of all members, sections and the Board we wish give a huge thanks to Kirk Malone, who has resigned as a Director of TSC Ltd last week recognise his contribution to TSC during his time as Chair. Kirk was elected in 2022 and elected Chair of the Board shortly after. As well as his Board role, Kirk's was also instrumental in the Devisdale Pitch Project and gaining Football Foundation grants to part fund the 6 year grass maintenance project that commenced in September. Kirk will still be around the Club living his other great Timperley passion coaching girls football, watching United and enjoying the odd pint of Guinness!

The Rules of the Club set out that the Board elects its Chair from the Directors (Board). Bob Page has been elected to be the Chair of the Board and you can find out more about Bob in this months newsletter.

• projects completed over the Summer months to improve our facilities and playing surfaces
