Club News !
Its been a incredibly busy four months at the Club with a number of projects (part of Project18) delivered - download the attached new look TSC Members Newsletter to find out more about TSC News. More work is underway on Monday too, Midsteam will be on site to repair the LED lights on the Green Pitch and will be doing the Lighting Lux Testing on Monday evening from 6.45pm

Timperley Hockey is one of the four sporting sections of Timperley Sports Club and a thriving TSC is key for all four sports. In a nutshell the four sports deliver the sport and put the boots in the ground and the Club (TSC) runs the facilities and plans for the future (and that's why subs go to TSC) be it pitches, the building, heating, drainage or other improvements to the site. Hockey and TSC are mutually dependant and supportive so its vital that hockey play an active role in the running of the club. If you're interested in finding out more or getting involved please contact Shelagh Everett.

If you missed the updates on the drainage works at the back of the Blue Pitch takes a look at the video of when the blockage was removed ! The new drainage pipe will help the ATP's drain better and get water off the whole site from the front pitch and back drive. So do take a look at this £10,000 investment in our club ! https://www.timperley-sports.com/news/let-it-flow--drainage-improvement-project-completed--2881680.html

Young Blues Spotlight
Our Young Blues programme is busier than ever this season and we couldn't deliver this much hockey and infect and inspire so many young players to hopefully have a life long love of the sport without our army of volunteers and coaches. As well are Sunday and Monday coaching we run teams 15 teams from the U18's down in EH Championships to first steps for our Under 8's in mini games and of course the introduction to Saturday hockey for our Otters, Beavers and Badgers !

North West Junior Leagues have started well for the U14 and U16's Boys and Girls on Sunday and this is a brilliant platform to develop players at all stages - including decision making, leadership and supporting team mates for our more experienced players. TEAM is core to hockey and the ups and downs of being part of a team is all part of the learning, tears and joy!

Badgers, Beavers and Otters our Saturday 11 - a - side teams who play friendlies across the NW are also in full flow and learning loads. Results are the key measure here but how the players are developing and again all importantly their team-ship and play. Part of nearly all young players hockey journey is also spending Sunday afternoons at the Armitage (and in days gone by Belle Vue!) for the GMJHL 7 a side monthly tournaments for U10's and U12's.

The EH Junior Clubs Championships is the pinnacle for our competitive junior hockey and we have build a solid track record in recent years reaching semi finals and finals. We've entered U14,U16 and U18 boys and girls again this year and started this years competition on 20th October. We've also entered the U16G in the EH Tier 1 Supra League this year too and the Girls got their first win away with a 4 - 1 win v Sutton Coldfield with some great goals.

In the Tier 2 Knock Out Championships:
- U18 Boys had a great match against Bowdon and came away with a 4-3 victory in Tier 2 KO Championships !
- U14 Boys beat Bowdon B in another close high scoring match winning 6-5 in a brilliant match in Tier 2 KO Championships
- U14 Girls kept a clean sheet and some amazing goals beat Alderley Edge B 5-0 in Tier 2 KO Championships
- U18 Girls had a walkover after Brooklands conceded
- Sadly the U16 Boys had to concede as we couldn't field a team and go into the plate

We've a EH Junior Championships Super Sunday on 10th November at the club so why not pop down and support our young blues and see some of the talented teams and players developing throughout the club. Home Games U18B, U14B, U18G and U16G.

Master World Cup - international Blues !
Robin Cooper (M1) is back from South Africa where he was playing in the Masters O35 World Cup for Wales and is by all accounts looking sharp and raring to go v Sheffield on Saturday evening at 18:30 - not quite the Table Mountain backdrop he's been used too !

The Masters World Cup for the older age groups starts this week in New Zealand and we've 6 Blues who've made the trip out to Auckland. We'll bring more updates of their exploits next week and we wish all the best to the Timperley 6 for a great tournament:
Colin Taylor
Mike Carson
Mark Andrews
Debbie Chalcroft
Lou Hutchinson
Sarah Impey (Alliance)
