Since the merger of the men's and ladies sections and juniors in the 2015-16 season we have developed a set of #OneClub Policies to apply to hockey across the Club. As a general principle Policies apply to all levels, ages and genders where applicable.
Policies are developed, reviewed and agreed by the Hockey Committee to provide consistency and fairness. A number of EH Best Practice Guidance, Policies and Procedures have also been adopted to support our vision.
Our policies and procedures where applicable also apply to the Timperley Talent Academy.
The Hockey Committee is responsible for reviewing and approving operational policies for THC and delegates the policy setting for selection to the Club Captains and their captains committee's with support and oversight from the Hockey Development Chair.
Policies and Rules are agreed for a range of areas including:
TSC Subscriptions - approved by the TSC Ltd Board in line with the TSC Rules
Hockey Subs - consistent approach used across the section and policy is reviewed annually by the hockey committee to set match fees
Umpires - consistent approach used across the section for Umpires and policy is reviewed annually by the hockey committee to ensure it is fit for purpose. Where external umpires if relevant, a fee / expenses will be reimbursed in line with agreed rates from NW Area Hockey
Expenses - consistent approach used across the section that covers travel (if round trip greater than 50 miles and criteria met for transporting other players. Mileage rate reviewed and agreed annually by the hockey committee. Reimbursement for other sundry items
Match Fee - all captains and academy parent managers must collect match fees online via Pitchero for all matches / tournaments
Other fees - the hockey committee will review and agree any other hockey related fees annually including Academy Fees
